Janitzio, MC

The island of Janitzio is quite a sight.  set in a shallow lake, there are no vehicles on the island, and lots of stairs.  There are restaurants, and an interesting combination of things for sale, from religious painting and icons, to drink mugs shaped like boobs.

And stairs...there are lots of stairs.

Once you get to the top of the stairs, there's a Statue of José María Morelos, built in the 1930s, that you can climb up inside.  I really hope the people from this area call the Statue of Liberty "That American Jose Maria Morelos statue"
