When I left Patzcuaro, I headed for the coast. Patzcuaro is at a fairly high elevation, so while I was there, it was chilly at night (down to 5-10 degrees celsius), and warm, but not hot during the day (around 20 degrees). This changed when I got to the coast. It was HOT. 35 degrees, and it didn't cool off much at night. I got to Playa la Saladita Casa del Mar, a tiny little surf spot with a nice beach. I payed 40 pesos for a beer and a spot to park for the night, then took a walk on the beach.
I couldn't sleep until 11pm because of the heat, but I was woken up at 4am by a bloody rooster, right outside my van! In all fairness to my rooster, I could hear him being goaded by a far away cock who was laying down the gauntlet. My rooster had to reply, otherwise all the chickens in the neighbourhood would shun him, so reply he did.
over
and over
and over.
I was on the road at first light.
Great pic. Love that Ball Cam. As I scrolled around the image soaking in the total awesomeness of it all, it occurred to me that the camera captures everything except itself. We would truly be in the Twilight Zone if you could somehow scroll "back" and see the camera. But then the camera would need to be in 2 places at once. If electrons can do it, then so should the ball cam. Think I need another Old Fashioned.
